All of our ingots are 100% bottom poured from the same ladle, directly following degassing. Bottom pouring and special flux covers inhibit the introduction of re-oxidized material, producing exceptionally clean steel.
Our tests show the cleanliness of our product consistently averages ½ JK with excellent mechanical properties. Combining ladle refining and vacuum degassing with bottom pouring reaches a higher level of cleanliness — a grade we call SFS AirMelt.
