Work rolls are where the steel meets the strip, and they live or die on cleanliness, hardness depth and a sound forged structure. We forge ours from alloy steel melted in a single ladle, vacuum degassed and 100% bottom poured, so the metal that goes into your roll is as clean and uniform as the process allows.
Every roll is forged to build the grain flow a working roll demands, then heat treated to the surface hardness and depth your mill specifies and finish machined to your drawing. We forge for both hot and cold mills, and for ferrous and nonferrous rolling alike.
